The Summer Palace
Sep 24
Post a Comment The Sunday before last CSA went to the Summer Palace. Started in 1750, the Summer Palace is known best for the extravagant spending by Empress Dowager Cixi of the Qing Dynasty in the 19th century. The lake is manmade; the dirt from the excavation was used to add to the nearby hills.
Words cannot do justice to this beautiful place; please instead see the pictures. I am certain I will return before leaving China.
